Gizmo 1991-2007

It was so bizarre but today I came home to find my cat Gizmo laying on the floor and he was not doing well. I took him to the vet and they told me when they are as old as he was there was nothing they could do. So with a heavy heart I had to say goodbye to my cat. He was the one who when I got him was so small when I held him my hand he had plenty of room to go around. In his later years he was much bigger and was truly loveable. The ironic thing is that my sister who has a cat as well was having issues of his own and she took him to the vet basically the same time I did and she had to put her cat down too. It will take a while for me to get over this and I don't know if I will be ready to get another pet anytime soon. I will miss him and as I am writing this I kept wondering how long it would take for him to come over and I realized he won't be.

Episode 148 Just a Little Stressed

Listen as Ramble talks about the fun and thrills I have been going through lately - my folks celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and we had a great party for them and tell you how it went. I tell you about how Joe helped me once again for the event and so he continues to show his support. I sang a song just for my folks and everyone enjoyed it and clapped for me and so I was glad it went well. I talk about how some valuable friends helped me in so many ways to make this event a success.

Episode 147 Erin and Fag Bug

Listen to this amazing story about a woman named Erin as she talks about her life growing up, the coming out process with her family and friends. What follows next was a truly tragic event but Erin proves to be a strong person who feels that we all should be treated with fairness and not hate. She was a victim of a hate crime and instead of ignoring the problem she stood up not only for herself but for all of us in the GLBT community. She is a true hero in my book and I hope you will join me in supporting her as she makes her way across the country by buying one of her fag bug stickers or a tshirt!

Episode 146 Still Proud

I know this is a bit delayed but I had to share with some recordings that I made while attending Gay Pride in Chicago! It was an amazing day getting to see 500,000 others as Joe and I cheered and booed a religous nut at the event! You will hear from my friends and a guy Rob that I met while waiting for the parade to start - hear his touching coming out story as well.

I hope to post a video of the event as well but had some issues with my video camera. i will be posting pics on my flickr account soon so check them out!
