Great show, Tom. I've read about this movie and was interested in it, but I'm even more interested now. If we had more straight friends like Jonathon, life would be a lot easier. I also thought this show was really relaxed and conversational, and that was great to listen to.

I had to wonder the whole time I was listening to this podcast if Jonathon is in fact gay and doing the opposite of what he advised those struggling with their sexual orientation. At one point in the conversation Jonathon says something to the effect of how coming out can end affect one's career in an adverse way. Maybe it's just me wanting for someone as attractive as he to be gay. Or maybe I'm spot-on and Jonathon is carefully crafting himself to be acceptable to a diverse audience. I don't mean to be critical here of Jon. He seems like a very likable young man. And it may well be that if he is in fact gay that he is doing the right thing in furthering his career. I'd like to think that coming out would not be a bad career move. But I wonder about the reemergence of fundamentalist Christianity among youth and the direction our country might take in the future. For all the progress we in the gay community have made in the last 10 years - we still live in a country ruled by a conservative ideology and have yet to achieve true equality under the law. Witness the gay marriage movement. It isn't going anywhere. And this is in large measure due to morality movement. Perhaps I am to sensitive to it because of my geographical location here in the states. Or is there a lurking danger out there for all of us who wish for a land where life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is a shared experience.

Wow, he is HAWT. Ok had to get that out (= Another great show, of course! I love how he is focusing on playing a role, not playing a GAY role, you know what I mean? Yes, he got into it and did research and whatnot, and his character is gay, but that wasn't the main focus. He treated his character as just that, a character. An equal. We need more people like that in this world!

This guy is beautiful -- inside and out!

It is fantastic that he has such a (seemingly) casual attitude toward playing gay.

I do think that the younger generation will be more blasé about whether someone is gay or not. Yea!
