Episode 137A - Garry Lee Posey

Ramble interviews Garry Lee Posey as he talks about his life growing up in Tennessee and how he came out to his family and friends. The hardest person to come out was with his mother and he talks in detail about how this went. He begins to talk about his goal of becoming an actor and how it changed to become a theatrical director. We talk about how family plays a big part in our coming out process and how we tend to make it harder than it really is and with time things will get better for everyone involved.

Great interview with Garry Lee Posey. I found his story similar to my own coming out story. I can't wait to hear part 2.

Great interview--again! It was fascinating hearing the story of someone who's coming out experience and such was so different from my own. And yet we all seem to have some similar elements. I was especially interested in the way you both talked about your mothers. Fascinating.

Garry sounds like a great guy.

Interesting how twins can be so alike and and so different. Are they fraternal twins? Maybe being so intensely in each other's life as they grew up breeds hostility when they don't go the same direction? Police officer vs. theater director - pretty different.
