Ramble - What a great interview! I never heard Wanda Wisdom before (I didn't realize Wanda was a "guy" in the first place - I'm such a doof). I may have to check him out in the future.
Sounds like the breakup with the boyfriend was and continues to be painful. Sorry about that. I just read on JUB about someone who had been in a 25-year relationship and the boyfriend wanted to drop it all for a twenties Brazilian illegal immigrant! I PMed him to tell him how devistated I was for him because I know I would be. I'm really hoping this turns around for them.
Regarding the earlier discussion about mediocrity and podcasting, the thing that wasn't exactly stated, but what I think is very important is the fact that you and many of the others are filling a need.
You know I really think your variety of podcasting interviews is an important contribution. Those podcasters who are simply just talking about their lives are important as well. It is the very ordinariness of their lives that is so important for everyone (who will listen) to hear. We don't have a "lifestyle" because what we have is a "life".
And regarding the mediocrity issue, I'm firmly of the Darwinian mode - if some podcasts aren't great - they will not remain. The good ones, like yours, will prosper.

I had been enjoying your recent shows but when I heard you talking to Wanda I realised that I really didn't know much about you. It was really great to hear you talking about your life and what motivated you to do your podcast. Kind of a peak behind the scenes of Ramble Redhead Show!
